Solution:
- Ensure you have a compatible Office version (2016 or later)
- Restart all Office applications completely
- Check if the add-in is enabled: File → Options → Add-ins
- If disabled, select "COM Add-ins" and click "Go", then check Dictate
- Run Office as administrator if the issue persists
Solution:
- Check Windows microphone permissions: Settings → Privacy → Microphone
- Ensure your microphone is set as the default recording device
- Test microphone in Windows Sound settings
- Check if other applications are using the microphone
- Try using a different microphone or headset
